We are all affected by natural disasters: droughts, floods, hurricanes, wildfires, phenomena that shake the planet
and destroy its resources; It is a reality that we are experiencing, and that also affects the economy in general.
The current model of our economy (linear system: extraction, manufacture, use and disposal.) has reached its limits; signs of depletion of natural resources and fossil fuels are beginning to be seen. We need a new model, a shift towards an efficient economy in the use of resources and low carbon emissions; this new model is the circular economy.
The circular economy helps us improve financial results while reducing the use of resources; helps us identify
and create new opportunities for economic growth and boost innovation and competitiveness;
fights against natural disasters and limits the environmental impacts of the use of resources to guarantee
the security of the supply of essential resources such as water.
